Crawford's Golf Daily, For July 5th, 2014

By Gregory Crawford---TV, Print and Radio Golf Analyst  twitter@wchoops @crawssportsbiz

Attention Golf Community---We can get along, so can we all just play the right set of tees, please.

Last week on four separate golf courses, I intently observed four different groups who in no way should have been playing the championship tees, but chose to do so. Several members of each group were not able to hit their tee ball past the forward tees.

All of us who love golf need to take some responsibility---- from the individual golfer, to the pro shop, to the starters, to other golfers on the course. Get on the right set of tees for your game. Heck, it is not even one bit embarrassing to play the forward tees, they are not reserved for anyone actually, men or women.

Golf needs to be fun, not torture. And if you think you are really good, you probably are not as good as you think. Don't let your ego get in the way of having fun and making golf a great experience for everyone.

Starting today, get on the right set of tees for the way you play. If you are not sure, there is no two-stroke penalty for asking.
