Gigi Stoll---- In case this missed it the last two weeks, shame on you. We are seeing a golf star in the state of Oregon develop even further with her ability to win tournaments.
In the last two weeks, Gigi Stoll has won both the Oregon Amateur and the 84th Bob Norquist Oregon Junior Amateur.
At present there is not a better amateur golfer in the state of Oregon than Gigi Stoll on either men or women's side.
Stoll will finish her senior year at Beaverton High School in 2014-15 and then head to play golf for the Arizona Wildcats in the Pac-12.
It is obvious that Stoll is learning how to finish off players in match-play, either in a close match or the occasional blow out.
The interesting scenario here is if Stoll chooses at some point to join the LPGA Tour, will she become the best golfer ever on the women's side to come out of the state of Oregon. She has the track record so far to become very good and it is great that she has chosen the college route rather than just going out directly to the LPGA Tour as many players choose to do.
At this point it would seem automatic that Stoll will be given a spot in the LPGA's annual Portland stop at the end of August, which will give fans a chance to see this so talented young player.
Gigi Stoll----a name we should all be watching for the future when it comes to the game of golf.
