For first time in four years, participation in high school football for the 2013-14 season increased. During the football season, over 1 million boys played 11 man football and at the same time 1,775 girls played high school football per the National Federation of High School Sports.
Obviously concussion injuries are on everyone's mind, but obviously at the same it appears to have not slowed down participation on the high school level in football.
